The 21st International Symposium on Mathematical Programming (ISMP) will take place in Berlin, Germany, August 19 - 24, 2012.

New participation record: More than 1700 talks!
The program will run from the grand opening ceremony and
welcome reception Sunday 18:00 until Friday 18:00.

ISMP is a scientific meeting held every 3 years on behalf of the Mathematical Optimization Society. It is the world congress of mathematical optimization where scientists as well as industrial users of mathematical optimization meet in order to present the most recent developments and results and to discuss new challenges from theory and practice.

The conference topics address all theoretical, computational and practical aspects of mathematical optimization including:

  • integer, linear, nonlinear, semidefinite, conic and constrained programming,
  • discrete and combinatorial optimization,
  • graphs, network optimization, matroids, game theory,
  • nonsmooth, convex, robust, stochastic, PDE-constrained and global optimization,
  • variational analysis, complementarity and variational inequalities,
  • sparse, derivative-free and simulation-based optimization,
  • implementations and software,
  • operations research, and
  • logistics, traffic and transportation, telecommunications, energy systems, finance and economics.

  • Euro 340 including MOS membership for 2013
  • Euro 390 including MOS membership for 2013 and 2014
  • Euro 420 including MOS membership for 2013 - 2015

After June 15, these registration fees will increase by Euro 100.

The early registration fees for retirees are

  • Euro 185 including MOS membership for 2013
  • Euro 210 including MOS membership for 2013 and 2014
  • Euro 225 including MOS membership for 2013 - 2015

The early registration fee for students is Euro 150.

After June 15, the registration fees for retirees and students will increase by Euro 50.

Participants from developing and economically disadvantaged countries, who submit an abstract for a presentation, are eligible for a reduced registration fee. They can also apply for limited financial support. Please contact Andreas Griewank for details.

Acceptance of presentations

The notification about the acceptance or rejection of abstracts has been sent out on May, 9 and 10. If you did not receive this e-mail or would like to check the status and abstract of your presentation then you can do so after logging in with your ISMP account. To log in and check the decision about your abstract please follow these steps.
  • Please Choose Login & Register from the main menu and enter the email address and password your registered your abstract with.
  • In the submenu which now appears please follow the link 'Abstract & Status'.
  • It will show the decision about your abstract at the top of the page along with your abstract.
  • Later on you may want to get back to this page to check the schedule.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the ISMP 2012 in Berlin.
