21st International Symposium on Mathematical Programming (ISMP 2012)
The 21st International Symposium on Mathematical Programming will take place in Berlin, Germany, August 19-24, 2012. ISMP is a scientific meeting held every 3 years on behalf of the Mathematical Optimization Society. It is the world congress of mathematical optimization where scientists as well as industrial users of mathematical optimization meet in order to present the most recent developments and results and to discuss new challenges from theory and practice. more

This hard cover book, edited by Martin Groetschel, has 41 chapters and more than 460 pages. It covers a wide range of topics of the history of optimization in an entertaining way. Every ISMP participant will receive one free copy of this book. The sales price is 70 Euros. For those ISMP participants who are interested in bringing an additional copy home (as a gift for a friend or as a valuable addition to their local library) the ISMP organizers offer a special sales price. Copies of the book can be purchased during the conference for 35 Euros.
